Strasbourg fines non compliant vehicles

From 1 January 2023 vehicles not meeting the Crit'Air 5 minimum standard will have to pay.

Since January 1, 2022, the Eurometropolis has set up a Weak Zone Mobility emissions on January 1, 2022. This first stage, implemented for educational purposes, will be followed by an application effective January 1 2023. It will gradually limit the circulation of vehicles the most polluting to allow all those who live, work, and come regularly to the Eurometropolis to breathe better in our territory.

The Low Emission Zone affects personal vehicles, light utility vehicles, heavy goods vehicles, buses and coaches, motorized two and three wheelers. It is aimed at individuals and professionals and applies continuously, 7 days a week and 24 hours a day, on the territory of the Eurometropolis as a whole, to guarantee fairness of treatment, readability and sharing of gains in terms of improvement in air quality.
