Corona: Suspension of all road user charging schemes in London

Corona: London suspends LEZ, ULEZ & Congestion Charge to help critical workers.

The Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan has asked TfL to make this change to ensure London's critical workers are able to travel around London in the way that best suits them, and facilitate social distancing.

Transport for London announced on the 20 March that all road user charging schemes, so the central London congestion charge, ULEZ and LEZ in the capital will be temporarily suspended. This will come into effect so that none of the charges are in operation from Monday 23 March until further notice.  For more information, see TfL's webpage.

The pollution and traffic levels in London, as in many other cities, have reduced significantly due to the measures to slow the spread of the Corona virus, as people are only essential trips. There are many news articles on this topic, for example this from the Guardian newspaper and on London official website.
